Sharon currently fulfils the role of Progression’s Diversity Manager & Consultant, a position which requires her to design and deliver Awareness and Sensitisation around disability and advise on Best Practice when growing and maintaining a diverse workforce.
Sharon completed a Social Science degree and majored in Managing Disability in Mainstream Contexts at the University of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia. Sharon relocated to South Africa in 1993 from her hometown Melbourne Australia, and began applying her knowledge and expertise around managing disability in the workplace. Sharon subsequently relocated back to Australia in 2015, with the purpose of gaining insight into the Australian market in order to further expand on Progression’s inclusion practices.
Sharon believes that the inclusion of people living with disabilities is an integral part of Diversity Management and that it is important for these initiatives to be linked to a strong business case in order to ensure sustainability.
