As 2024 draws to a close, it is once again an opportunity to reflect on the year that has been, share our journey and express my heartfelt gratitude to all our clients, service providers, staff and learners for their unwavering support and enabling us to continue doing what we do.
This year has been one of immense uncertainty, but also of massive growth and transformation for our business and the industry in general. Moving to the QCTO system brought with it a unique set of challenges as we navigated the complexities of new accreditation processes and programme alignments. While the 2-year extension granted for certain legacy qualifications provided temporary relief, the sluggish pace at which the QCTO is registering new qualifications raises concerns about meeting the looming June 2026 deadline, which is fast approaching.
Nevertheless, transitioning to the QCTO has demanded adaptability, resilience and a firm commitment to quality. I am proud to say that these efforts have strengthened our ability to deliver meaningful, impactful training solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the skills development landscape.
Despite these challenges, 2024 has also been marked by incredible achievements. We have seen success stories from our learnership programmes and employment hubs, which have empowered individuals, particularly those with disabilities, to access meaningful work opportunities. Our commitment to workplace disability inclusion has continued to break barriers, helping organisations embrace diversity and create environments where everyone can thrive.
We have also celebrated some exciting milestones within our business. From obtaining QCTO accreditation for key qualifications and establishing strategic partnerships, to acquiring crucial funding for some of our hubs, this year has been a testament to what can be achieved through collaboration and shared purpose.
None of this would have been possible without our clients, partners and team members, whose belief in our mission and trust in our services inspire us to keep pushing boundaries and advocating for an inclusive, empowered society.
As we look to 2025, we do so with renewed determination to build on the foundations we’ve laid this year. While challenges remain, we are confident in our ability to meet them head-on, together.
